I scanned this plant/weed from my garden the other day and left it in the scanner. Today I noticed it peeking out of the edge there and I went to remove it, but it had bloomed while it pressed on the scanner surface. I know there is a metaphor in this somewhere, I am just too empty headed today to find it.
